A Cavity Unit or Sliding Door Pocket ensures that a door slides into the cavity when it is fully open into a compartment in an adjacent wall. They are designed as a space saver, where architecturally it is difficult for a hinged door to swing open. At Provans Timber and Hardware, we stock the unit that allows the door to travel on rollers (supplied with unit) suspended on an overhead track in multiple sizes to suit the exact size of the door opening. We now carry two types of Cavity Units; one that allows a 50mm protrusion of the door from the jamb, whereby a flush pull is fitted to the face of the door for easy sliding of the door, and a flush jamb, whereby the door disappears completely into the cavity and a flush pull is fixed to the edge of the door to pull it out from the cavity.
