Wainscot Paneling (or Wainscoting) is a form of decorative wall paneling that became popular in the 18th century. Typically installed as panels from the skirting board to around chair-height, this classical wall trim was originally used to provide room insulation, damage protection (from dining chairs), and disguise rising damp from moisture in the floor.
Wall panels come in multiple profiles, including V-Joint, Regency and Groove. They can be used as a full wall lining, or a panel with a decorative moulding at the top and the base, significant to the Edwardian era of the early 1900's.
You can also create your own style using any of our Skirting boards, our Lining Boards, our Dado Rail and our Insertion and Panel Moulds. We have some Wainscoting Displays in our Showroom. Drop by to check them out and please ask one of our friendly Sales Staff for any assistance you may require.
