Western Red Cedar shingles and shakes are designed for roof and wall cladding. They were commonly used as an application on Edwardian Homes/Californian Bungalows, but are often used in contemporary homes, including Hamptons style. They are supplied in bundles with a square metre coverage per bundle.
For roof shingles, blue label premium clear is fully quarter sawn.
For wall and general purpose shingles, red label is a combination of quarter cut and back sawn to allow for limited sap wood.
Shakes are hand split and re-sawn. Suitable for roofing applications with minimum roof pitch of 20°.
